How will you spend
your island days?
Choose your time, transport and main interest. Get ordered stops, lunch areas, transport notes and a shorter version for each day. Choose TT for a plan built around viewing and movable days.
Your three-day starting point
TT days are movable slots, not a dated race timetable. Match viewing to the current programme; a contingency period is not a promised free day.
Douglas: museum, town and harbour
Start with the Manx Museum’s TT or Viking displays, then keep the afternoon around central Douglas and the harbour. Make the headland optional.
- Start at the Manx Museum on Kingswood Grove for a chosen introduction.
- Walk or use a suitable transfer towards central Douglas for lunch.
- Continue to the harbour and waterfront for a shorter outdoor loop.
- Add Douglas Head only if weather, daylight and energy suit the climb.
- Return towards the hotel or Sea Terminal; locate tomorrow's actual departure point.
Laxey and a clear-weather mountain day
Make the summit the first priority when conditions suit, then return to Laxey for lunch and selected mining heritage.
- Leave from Derby Castle on Douglas's north promenade, or use the current east-coast bus to Laxey.
- Arrive at Laxey Tram Station on New Road and check the separate mountain connection.
- Take the Snaefell return excursion if conditions and services suit.
- Have lunch back around Laxey village/interchange.
- Visit the Great Laxey Wheel via the signed village route if time and access allow.
- Return from Laxey on the chosen service; leave the beach or Ramsey for another day if time is short.
Peel: museum, harbour and castle
Keep the day compact around Peel's main heritage sites, with lunch on the town side and the beach as flexible time.
- Start at House of Manannan on Mill Road when open.
- Follow the harbour towards the old town and stop for lunch.
- Continue to St Patrick's Isle and Peel Castle for a visit when open and suitable.
- Finish with Peel Beach or a shorter town walk.
- Reach the chosen return stop or parking place with time to spare.
Check the current bus timetables, railway calendar, attraction openings and weather before fixing the order. During racing events, check official road closures.
